A Few Words About Me
My work in forensic psychology, particularly my involvement in child custody cases, sparked a deep curiosity about children—their development, their challenges, and their inner worlds. This evolved into a passion for supporting young children and their families. Through a Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai’s Infant Mental Health Center, I developed a strong foundation in infant and early childhood mental health and a deep commitment to helping parents find their authentic selves in this often daunting new role.
My passion is providing parents guidance through every stage of early childhood—from the transition to early parenthood through the toddler years, preschool and kindergarten. I support families as they navigate life’s events such as welcoming a new baby, divorce, and the loss of a family member, including a beloved pet. I also work with families facing a range of developmental and behavioral challenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, attention difficulties, sensory integration, social skills, and self-regulation.
Throughout my career, I have collaborated with private and public schools, advocated for children through Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), assisted with custody planning, and served as a resource for families navigating challenging circumstances. My work has included collaboration with LAUSD, Regional Centers, California Child Licensing, and Family Court. I established the first Social Skills Group at Temple Israel of Hollywood and had the privilege of serving as Director of the IKAR Early Childhood Center from 2015 to 2026. Since 2012, I have also facilitated parent groups through The Wright Mommy, helping new parents through the many emotional and practical aspects of becoming a family. In addition, through the Happy Sleeper Method (Wright and Turgeon), I have supported hundreds of families in addressing infant, toddler, and preschooler sleep challenges.
My approach combines warmth, practical guidance, and a deep understanding of child development, scientific research, and developmental psychology and neuroscience. I believe that effective parenting strategies should not only address a child’s needs but also preserve and strengthen the all-important connection between parent and child.
Whether you are looking for research-based information to guide your parenting decisions, age-specific strategies to support your child’s development, or help navigating a particular challenge, I am here to offer thoughtful, individualized support. Together, we can find practical, developmentally informed solutions that work for your family and help you feel more confident at every stage of your parenting journey.
